BlackRa1n jailbreak is just realeased, but it requires to update your iDevice to OS 3.1.2 and then jailbreak it. PwnageTool, a tool helps you solve this problom neatly. You can get the guide how to jailbreak iPhone 3GS,3G runing OS 3.1.2 using PwnageTool 3.1.4 on Mac OS X and then unlock by yourself...more
