How do l post videos to Uvouch.com?

You can post video manually or by clicking our browser button. To post manually, just login to your account, click on “My Videos” under “My Account” Menu and then add your favorite video by clicking on “Add Video” and filling out the required information.
The easiest way to post videos is through the browser button. If you don’t already have our browser button, then click here and follow the steps mentioned on “add video browser button” page.

If you’re watching a cool video, then simply click on the Uvouch browser button to post that particular video to your favorites. Our browser button will try get the title, url, tags, description, video image url and duration automatically.
If for some reason this is not possible, you need to manually copy or enter the information required. You can easily refer to that particular video hosting website page for the needed information. Example of “Add Video page”
If preview button is visible next to submit button, then always click to see if the video is playing before submitting. If the video is not playing, then check “Video not playing” box in “Add video favorite” page. The image below gives an example of how preview function works.

How do l organize video into different categories and tags?
|
|
|
You can organize the videos into the most appropriate default categories provided by us, or you can also create your own categories. Multiple categories to organize your videos can be selected.
Tags are related keywords and labels that can make it easier to find videos later. We highly recommend members organize their videos into tags, as tags are easier and flexible. You can describe the content of the video using tags and each tag must be separated by comma.
You may notice a list of recommend tags from your previous tags list and other recommended popular tags when you start typing each letter of the tag. A tag should be meaningful for both you and the Uvouch.com community.

How do l find the video image link to display video image?
|

Uvouch.com browser button will automatically find video image for some sites like YouTube.com, MySpace.com, Google.com etc.
But if needed, you can usually you can find the video image on the page where you are viewing the video or previous page, ie.

>> Just right click on the image (without opening it) and go to properties
>> In properties copy the full “Address (URL)” and paste it in thumbnail section

Our browser button will automatically find video duration for some sites like YouTube.com, MySpace.com, Google.com etc.
You need to manually find the video duration from those video websites which doesn’t support our browser button. You can find video duration on the page where you are viewing the video. |

I have embedded code for a video, how can I post it manually?

To post manually, just login to your account, click on “My Videos” under “My Account” Menu and then “Add Video”. On “Add Favorite Video” page, check the option above submit button that states “I have the embed code to view video from Uvouch.com”.
Once checked it will display a embed code box where you can paste the embed code. We highly recommend to preview video before submitting and if video preview doesn’t work then the embed code is not right. |

On “Add Favorite Video” page you can select the private option before posting the video. Your friends at Uvouch.com can view your private videos only if you have this option selected in “Account Settings” page. |

Each time you enter a tag letter it displays your own and other related tags that matches the letter you have typed. You are under no obligation to use these tags, they are just recommendations and an example is given below.

How do I delete a video that l previously added?

To delete a video, simply login to your account, click on “My Videos” under “My Account” Menu and then search for that particular video.
You can delete multiple videos by checking the box next to each video and click on delete button. To delete a particular video, simply click on delete link in front of that video. |

How to I import videos from YouTube, Dailymotion, Revver, blip.tv,Metacafe,Grouper?

To import videos from existing services, simply login to your account, click on “Import Videos” link under “Tools” heading.
Enter your username for that particular service and click on import button. You can view other pages while the videos are imported, once the import is finished to which you will be notified.

How to flag a video with objectionable material?
|

If you see a video that has adult or objectionable content, then simply flag the video by clicking on “Flag this video” link from “Video Details” page and submitting it, Uvouch.com administration will then review it.

We are not really copying the videos but rather organizing it with thumbnails and other relevant information. Most of the sites freely display embed code for their videos, therefore viewing those videos from Uvouch.com is not against their policy.
