`Thank You` is a slow ballad and signaled a deeper involvement in songwriting by Plant, being the first Led Zeppelin song that he wrote all the lyrics for. According to various Led Zeppelin biographies, this is also the song that made Jimmy Page realize that Plant could now handle writing the majority of the lyrics for the band`s songs. The first lines of Plant`s composition heavily resemble those in the Jimi Hendrix song "If 6 Was 9".
The song features some delicate organ playing by John Paul Jones, and ends with the organ fading into near-silence before coming back about 10 seconds later. This has created a problem for radio stations wishing to play the track, which must decide whether to accept the "dead air" or cut it off.

The title of this song came from the fact that drummer John Bonham played with two sets of two drumsticks, totalling four. His decision to play the song with four sticks was a result of him being very frustrated with not being able to get the track down right. After he grabbed the second pair of sticks and beat the drums as hard as he could, he recorded the perfect take and that was the one they kept. Guitarist Jimmy Page once said of the song: "It was supposed to be abstract." The abstract effect is further achieved by the unusual time signature of the song, featuring riffs in a mixture of 5/4 and 6/8 time signatures. After another failed take during the recording, Jimmy began to play an improvised guitar riff out of frustration. John Bohnam began to play along with a drum track from a Little Richard song. That riff was later on developed into the second track of the album, "Rock and Roll".

This is my June 1995 dance recital, when I was 12 years old. The class is Jazz 4, and the song is "Hey Mambo." The theme that year took dancers around the world (I wish the theme`s title was more elborate, but it`s simply "It`s a Small World"). That costume, I must say, was incredibly uncomfortable and not easy to dance in, but the song, dance, class, and classmates were fun - this was a great year.
In the final part, I`m one of the two girls who stand center stage while the rest of the group comes out from either side - I`m on the right (closest to the camera on the close-up shot). I also get to do a cartwheel - I`m in the back of the first group coming from stage right, and I push my glasses up after I finish. Cartwheels, glasses, long hair, and that costume - not a great mix.
