Club Mahindra at Varca Beach Goa india is one of the better resorts we have stayed at. As RCI members we have found most resorts give us the cold shoulder. But Club Mahindra was great. The staff were really friendly and the food was inexpensive and well prepared. The resort is built in characteristic Goan architecture and has large pools. We went in August so the weather was great - not too hot and no rain. From the capital at Panaji take the NH 17 to Madagaon. The Konkan Railroad stops at Madgaon which is not far away. There is a bus from there to just outside Club Mahindra. Or take the Konkan Kanya Express/0111 from Mumbai. We rented motor scooters and spend a week exploring the area.
