This religious procession goes upto the Roopkund Lake, following a ram or goat, in honor of the Hindu Goddess, Nanda Devi, consort of Lord Shiva. Here, we see the pilgrim camp at the high altitude Himalayan lake, Bedni Kund in the alpine meadow, the Bedni Buggyal. See the stunning view of the Himalayan peaks of Nanda Ghunti and Trishul. Join the pilgrims at the lake, taking a bath in the cold water, paying obeisance to the idol of Goddess Nanda Devi and walking onwards in long lines on the narrow mountain path. more >> <<less
