Jay Wesley Richards and Guillermo Gonzalez discuss their newly published book called, “The Privileged Planet: How Our Place in the Cosmos Is Designed for Discovery” Their book was written to test the claim of the Copernican Principle with respect to its empirical assertions and metaphysical implications, based on two pillars; habitability and measurability

Guillermo Gonzalez expounds on measurability, how the same narrow circumstances that allow us to exist also provide us the best overall setting for making scientific discoveries.
Jay Wesley Richards holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Theology, from Princeton Theological Seminary.
Guillermo Gonzalez, with a Ph.D. in Astronomy, from the University of Washington, is Assistant Research Professor of Astronomy, Iowa State University. He has published more than 60 articles in refereed astronomy and astrophysical journals.
Richards’ and Gonzalez’s book and video “study kit,” The Privileged Planet, is available through Access Research Network.
