World energy consumption 1970 to 2005
This clip from Nobody`s Fuel, comes from Section 1: Prisoner`s Dilemma -- fossil fuels & what energy means to us. This clip describes how much energy the world consumes and what those sources are. This clip clearly demonstrates how world energy consumption has grown rapidly, nearly doubling in just the past 30 years.

300 year history of renewable energy
This clip from Nobody`s Fuel, comes from Section 1: Prisoner`s Dilemma -- fossil fuels & what energy means to us. This clips describes the history of renewable energy and how our energy supply changed from 100% renewable in the 1800s to 9% today, comprised mostly of hydro power. An interesting point raised is the switch from biomass (firewood) to stored solar energy (coal) as trees began to become scarce in England and the USA.

Nobody`s Fuel emphasizes how important energy is to human welfare. With 85% of world energy currently supplied by fossil fuels, it is clear that a replacement must both mitigate carbon dioxide emissions and secure a stable and affordable fuel supply.
This film explains that:
* tar sands cannot cure "peak oil"
* world energy consumption could triple by 2100
* history and technical limitations show renewable energy cannot ever provide more than 10% of world energy
* energy efficiency and conservation marginally reduce carbon dioxide emissions
* tree planting is not reliable for storing carbon dioxide permanently
* the hydrogen economy is currently impractical
Nobody`s Fuel is not a doomsday scenario. This film recommends the widespread adoption of nuclear fission energy. Using modern fast breeder reactors, nuclear fuel is the only energy that is large enough to replace fossil fuels and mitigate atmospheric carbon dioxide.

According to a group of scientists brought together by documentary-maker Martin Durkin, if the planet is heating up, it isn`t your fault and there`s nothing you can do about it.
We`ve almost begun to take it for granted that climate change is a man-made phenomenon. But just as the environmental lobby think they`ve got our attention, a group of naysayers have emerged to slay the whole premise of global warming.

The students and faculty from South Louisiana Community college`s digital media program watched an Inconvenient Truth and decided to make a PSA to help people understand how easy it is to conserve energy and stop Global Warming. The students utilized HD technology to produce this PSA and we had a great time in the process.
