A beautiful but strange bird that can easily walk up or down trees. Other small birds show it respect. These birds are fairly new to Scotland. They have gradually spread northwards and have reached the central belt. I first noticed them here in southern Scotland in 2002. This video shot in our garden, 7th April 2007.

Nuthatch - A beautiful but strange bird that can easily walk up or down trees. Other small birds show it respect. These birds are fairly new to Scotland. They have gradually spread northwards and have reached the central belt. I first noticed them here in southern Scotland in 2002. The video was shot in one take of 6 minutes and I`ve just removed some of the waiting time.

Architecturally, the castle has a very well preserved central keep with two 5-storey towers on opposing corner. Brodie is a 16th Century castle with 17th and 19th century additions. Brodie Castle has a major art collection as well as porcelain, clocks and furniture.
