i would like to thank LTAdams for giving me the courage to repost this poem after i struggled with revisiting parts of my past that i feared would open old wounds... True the sound was a mess in the first one, but a part of me was glad it was not right so i could take it down and once agin hide from those old feelings ...thanks Peter for helping me to face the darkness with new found courage :)
SHE
Theres a place in my mind
where
She
is the most
caring
beautiful one
She
is the most
loving
spirited one
her patience
and kindness
only overshadowed
by her
warmth and unselfishness
but there`s a place in
my heart
where
She
weighs heavy
like a sinking stone
and momories of times
She
left me
uncovered and alone
waiting and watching
my peices
come apart
fragments
calling out
then retreating
to lick the wounds
of her love
as i reach out
She
runs away
leaving
only an ache
for me to digest .....

He recalls his shock as he walks into the first veteran`s hospital room, and his feelings afterwards....The end he gives a passionate plea to the young Israelis that damn near brought a tear to my eye..
